Dr. Line Dance was started in 2024 by line dance enthusiast Austin Anderson who fell in love with line dancing in the summer of 2023. Since then, Anderson has frequented line dancing locations in the Chicagoland area and has traveled to line dance in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. Anderson is a fan of all genres in line dancing but has taken an affinity to the pop genre, enjoying dances like Stetson, Fuego, Countdown (Turn Around), among others. In the country genre, he enjoys Raised Like That, Wanna Be, Texas Time, and many more.
Anderson was going line dancing 3-4 times a week during the winter months. Now with his schedule intensifying with his doctoral studies (educational leadership), he has transitioned his line dancing energies into choreography. The purpose of Dr. Line Dance is to share these dances with the world so that people can further enjoy their favorite pastime.
Anderson is also the creator of the Minds of Meaning Podcast and Blog, which is created to help “understand the unique ways that God has created us.” Anderson currently serves as the Program Coordinator of Communication Arts at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois where he is also a doctoral candidate.
If you have an idea about a song Anderson could choreograph, or have a question or a comment, feel free to contact him at drlinedance@gmail.com.
